ReNatura® Red Clover 0.5 kg

Perennial clover as a forage supplier

Red clover is very suitable for moist, humus-rich soils, as well as for cohesive and calcareous soils. Red clover tends to avoid acidic, poorly drained soils. This perennial clover species is an excellent provider of feed for fresh forage and clover hay production. Its high protein content makes red clover a prized source of feed for many large and small species of livestock and pets. Its symbiosis with nodule-forming bacteria transforms atmospheric nitrogen into plant-available forms of the element. This nitrogen functions as a natural fertiliser that can also be used by the subsequent crops.

Advantages of red clover:

  • Reliable, perennial fodder plant
  • Protein-rich fodder
  • Fixation of atmospheric nitrogen through symbiosis with rhizobia
  • Ideal supplement for grasses
  • Fresh forage and clover hay production
