The tetraploid cultivar also stands out for its high sugar content and elevated digestibility. These characteristics also makes it excellent as silage. MELQUATRO is used for silage and hay, as well as in fresh forage. While it can be sown in pure stands, it is also very highly recommended as a component in the MehrGras Futterexpress arable feed crop mixtures.
