BALO

Lacy phacelia - Phacelia tanacetifolia

BALO is often sown in bee pastures. It is considered an extremely high-yielding honey plant, whose nectar yields are comparable to those of rapeseed or buckwheat. During the summer months, blooming BALO fields are visited by a large number of honeybees, bumblebees and other insects. If conditions are good, bees can produce up to 1 litre of honey per year per 20 m² of cultivated area. BALO is also extremely well-suited for use as green manure.
