Dually resistant fodder radish

The fodder radish FARMER (see also TERRA GOLD® 8) is a dually resistant variety that can organically combat the beet nematode Heterodera schachtii as well as the root-gall nematodes Meloidogyne chitwoodi, M. fallax and M. hapla. These gall-forming nematodes can cause serious damage in beet, potato and vegetable cultivation. Damage caused by root-gall nematodes, in particular, is often not recognised in intensive vegetable cultivation or attributed to other unknown causes. In addition, free-living nematodes of the genera Trichodorus and Paratrichodorus have been observed, which can severely harm a wide variety of vegetable and other crop plants. Species of Trichodorus are also vectors for the tobacco rattle virus, which can cause significant damage in potatoes and field tomatoes. The fodder radish FARMER can effectively reduce the population of these parasitic nematodes.
