Well-Positioned Together – Change in Sales Management

At the end of March 2026, Mr. Johannes Wefers will step down from his role as Retail Sales Manager at our company. After many successful years in which he played a key role in shaping the development of our sales division, he is embarking on a new chapter in his career. At the same time, we are pleased to seamlessly fill the position internally: Mr. Martin Meyer, previously in the field sales team, will take over as Head of Retail Sales.

Thanks and Recognition for Johannes Wefers

During his time at Feldsaaten Freudenberger, Johannes Wefers has made a decisive contribution to further expanding our market position in the field of seeds for agriculture and turf. With great dedication, strategic foresight, and a keen sense of our customers’ needs, he has further developed the sales department both structurally and substantively.

Since joining our company in 2010, the graduate agricultural biologist has consistently put his in-depth technical knowledge and industry expertise at the service of our customers and partners. His education and scientific background have played a key role in clearly communicating complex plant science concepts and developing practical solutions.

Under his leadership, we not only strengthened existing customer relationships but also established new partnerships that remain cornerstones of our business to this day. Particularly noteworthy is his commitment to fostering close collaboration between sales, breeding, and variety management. This has enabled market demands to be translated even more quickly into practical recommendations and products—a clear added value for our customers.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to him for his great dedication, loyalty, and successful collaboration. We wish him all the best for his personal and professional future and continued success.

Continuity for Our Customers

What matters most to our customers is that their familiar points of contact, processes, and services will remain unchanged. Feldsaaten Freudenberger continues to stand for reliability, technical expertise, and practical solutions for high-quality seeds.

Johannes Wefers will work closely with his successor until his departure to ensure a smooth handover of projects, customer relationships, and strategic matters. In this way, we ensure that our collaboration with our partners will continue seamlessly and at the same high standard in the future.

Martin Meyer Takes Over as Head of Retail Sales

With Martin Meyer, a member of our own team is taking on responsibility for sales. He has been successfully working in the field for our company for several years and has first-hand knowledge of both our products and our customers’ needs.

In his previous role, he managed a large sales territory, providing close support to numerous farms and retail partners. His work is characterized by a high level of technical expertise, a strong practical focus, and a genuine passion for agriculture. Many customers particularly value his reliability, his solution-oriented advice, and his willingness to think beyond the product itself.

Through his daily work in direct contact with farmers and dealers, Martin Meyer brings a deep understanding of regional characteristics, operational challenges, and current market trends. This experience provides a valuable foundation for his new role as Sales Manager. He knows exactly what matters in practice—from the right product portfolio to a partnership-based and long-term collaboration.

A Strong Signal for the Future

This internal promotion is a deliberate and positive signal for us. It stands for continuity, trust in our employees, and long-term in-house talent development. Martin Meyer is familiar with Feldsaaten Freudenberger’s corporate culture, the values we stand for, and the high importance we place on strong customer relationships. Together with the existing sales team, he will build on the successful work of recent years and bring fresh momentum to the business. Our core objectives remain unchanged: high-performance products, expert advice, a strong regional presence, and a collaborative partnership with our customers.

We are confident that Martin Meyer will lead the sales team with great dedication, expertise, and team spirit. At the same time, we would like to once again sincerely thank Johannes Wefers for his valuable contribution to the development of our company.

Feldsaaten Freudenberger looks forward to the coming years with confidence—with a strong team, a clear focus, and the commitment to continue being a reliable partner to our customers in all matters related to seed.
